Emergency announcement

Europe – New Biometric Entry System (EES)

The European Union is implementing the Entry/Exit System (EES), which replaces passport stamping with a digital record including facial image and fingerprint collection upon first entry. Stay rules remain unchanged (up to 90 days within a 180-day period), and the process is carried out in person at immigration.

At this initial stage, longer waiting times at airports may occur. We recommend monitoring updates and arriving at the airport in advance.

Procedures may change at any time, in accordance with local authorities’ adjustments.
